STAGES DE CLOWN par Sky de Sela
Sky enseigne le clown depuis 2004. A travers ses années d'enseignement (Europe, Mexique, Chili, Islande...), elle élabore sa propre pédagogie, en prenant appui sur des stages qu'elle a pris, ses expériences sur la scène, et l'invention d'exercices conçus pour accompagner et libérer le clown.
DESCRIPTION STAGE SKY
Ce stage a comme but la naissance du clown, ou bien les retrouvailles avec votre clown déjà existant. Pour ceux et celles qui sont déjà en route, aider à explorer rigoureusement, effacer des tiques, et grandir dans la démesure. Pour les nouveaux et nouvelles passionné.e.s, accompagner la naissance de cette créature étonnante. Par les échauffements et la préparation au travail, tisser un tapis de confiance et de présence simple sur laquelle la prise de risque est un plaisir. Émotions immédiates amplifiées, élans physiques suivis vertigineusement...Ici chacun pourra se surprendre avec du réellement neuf. Dans la bienveillance et l'exigence, permettre à chacun et chacune de se retrouver à cet endroit où le choix le plus intéressant est le choix de la transparence vitale, le ridicule divin.

DESCRIPTION DES NIVEAUX
Stage Weekend: trempette de quinze heures. Découverte de la pédagogie de Sky, débutants bienvenu.e.s, clowns confirmés bienvenus également Stage Niveau I fondements: Travail sur la présence, l'élan (mouvement non cérébral), l'amplification de l'émotion réelle. Focus sur le vrai. Recherche de costumes et maquillage, voix de clown. Improvisations en solo, duo et chœur de clown. Pré-requis: Il faut avoir une expérience de la scène ou de la piste. (Si vous avez déjà fait un stage avec moi et ça ne vous dérange pas de repasser par les fondements, bienvenu.e également). Stage Niveau II approfondissement: Révision des fondements (présence simple, élans, émotions amplifiées). A travers le clown, travail sur la matière, l'histoire, le message qui porte et inspire chaque stagiaire. Suites du travail sur la voix du clown, en parole et en chant. Plongée dans le vide et la vulnérabilité pour y trouver la joie/dignité/hilarité. Pré-requis: Il faut avoir déjà fait un stage avec moi, pour que le langage soit partagé. Stage Niveau III écriture: Tu as envie de passer..."à table", concrétiser, poser ta matière. Il y a quelque chose de nébuleux et insistant au fond de toi, artiste/clown...un sujet qui doit se clarifier. Une idée, une envie, à la fois forte et furtive, qui n'arrête pas de taper sur tes parois et qui n’arrête pas de t'échapper. Nous y prêterons attention, pendant cette semaine ensemble, dans le but de la saisir (assez) pour créer une ébauche de numéro de cinq minutes basée dessus. Pré-requis: Il faut déjà avoir fait un stage avec moi (idéalement deux), il faut avoir une idée de numéro de clown, un début de chantier, une envie forte, un objet.

Sky's Workshops
The workshops all take place in Burgundy County, in a relatively small, beautiful and well heated studio space. International students are welcome, although the teaching is primarily in french, Sky can simultaneously translate the essentials into english and spanish. The atmosphere of the workshops is warm and rigorous. The groups are small, maximum ten students.
There are three levels of workshops. These three levels do not signify the quality of a student's prior work or even amount of experience. Level one is not necessarily for beginners. It is simply for people who have never worked with Sky. To work together we need to aquire a common clown language.
Weekend dive
This 15 hour worksop is an opportunity to discover Sky's method's. Beginners welcome. Experienced clowns as well.
Level I Foundations
In this 30 hour workshop we will work on presence, through quiet & undemonstrative preparation exercices. We will investigate the amplification of our own true emotions in the moment, which has the potential to lead us through excess into absurdity. And we will work on connecting with our core momentum as a tool to improvise and move in a relatively new way. A way that stems from urgency and impulse rather than thought. We will have daily costume and make-up sessions and we will conduct a basic exploration into the clown voice. The only prerequisite to participate in this workshop is an artistic stage experience of some sort, and much energy!
Level II Going Deeper
In this 30 hour workshop we will revisit the foundations (presence, amplification and impulse) brifly. We will go on to deepening the work of clown presence through exercising our capacity to experience & welcome emptiness/vulnerability. We will work on three stages of storytelling to move from the personal/private to the shared/ridiculous. We will explore the impulse with an object and we will take a considerable time to find each person's clown make up and voice. To participate in this workshop you need to have taken a previous workshop with Sky.
Level III Writing a clown act
Do you already have a clown that you know well and a long list of past workshops? Do you have something that you feel you must say but you cannot seem to get to it, in clown ? Do you already have an object you work with, a sketch of a potential act, or an idea you have tried out with an audience but that doesn't work yet?
Maybe this workshop is for you. We will spend the week closing in on your ideas, attempting to clarify them, improvising around them. By day three you will have a sketch of a five minute act. By the last day you will have done a similar act twice and recieved feedback from the other students and from me. For this workshop you need to be self sufficient, since the work consists partly in spending time working alone. To participate in this workshop you need to have either participated in a Sky Workshop previously or to have shown her your prior clown work by video or live.
